Hi SABR Members-
We are approaching our spring meeting, Saturday, May 6, at the Seattle Pacific University Ames Library seminar room. The Ames Library is at 3307 3rd Ave. West, Seattle WA 98119. The seminar room is on the second floor.
Here is some logistical driving/parking assistance from our resident SPU host, Professor Bill Woodward: "Access free parking from W Dravus St, three blocks south from the traffic signal at 3rd W and W Nickerson, as shown at http://spu.edu/info/maps/index.asp (Lot #45). The Ames Library is immediately adjacent (Bldg #14); the Seminar Room is on the 2nd floor."
The meeting will go from 12:00 – 4:00 PM. We will finish an hour earlier than usual to allow ourselves ample time to get to the ballgame. Please plan to stay until the end to hear all four of our great speakers. Here is the tentative agenda:
12:00 Call to Order, Announcements, Introductions
12:20 Ryan Divish - Q&A with the Seattle Times’ Mariners Beat Writer
1:15 Chuck Putnam – World Series Trifecta
2:10 Steve Steinberg – Urban Shocker: Silent Hero of Baseball’s Golden Age
3:00 Mark Armour – 1969: The Year of Miracles
